Dr Waqar Ahmed is a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist. He has been practicing as a consultant since 1996, with over 28 years of experience in the NHS. His main clinical interests lie in pancreatico-hepatobiliary disorders and therapeutic endoscopy, where he has developed extensive expertise in both diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Dr Ahmed graduated with an MBBS from Khyber Medical College in 1981 before pursuing further specialist training. He went on to complete postgraduate qualifications including an MD, MRCP, and FRCP through the Royal College of Physicians, London, and the University of Liverpool.
He is an active member of several professional organisations, including the British Medical Association, the British Society of Gastroenterology, and the British Association for the Study of the Liver. Through his work, Dr Ahmed continues to provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions.

Dr Atta Mohammed Abbasi is a senior Consultant Gastroenterologist with nearly two decades of specialist experience. He has performed over 20,000 diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures,including Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP and EUS.
Dr Abbassi has been formally assessed as competent to a standard commensurate with specialist practice to perform Screening Derived Colonoscopy approved by the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
